Hongzhi Zhengjue
Hongzhi Zhengjue was a Song Caodong Chan teacher and a disciple of Danxia Zichun. He taught at Tiantong Monastery and is associated with the practice of silent illumination. His verses on one hundred Chan cases later became the basis of Wansong Xingxiu's Book of Serenity.
