Jingangzhi (Vajrabodhi)

Vajrabodhi (671–741) was an Indian monk who travelled by sea through Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia before reaching China in 720. In Chang'an he translated esoteric scriptures and taught initiation and ritual practices associated with the Vajraśekhara cycle and the Vajra Realm. His disciple Amoghavajra assisted him and continued this work after his death. Along with Śubhakarasiṃha and Amoghavajra, he is known as one of the Three Great Masters of the Kaiyuan era.
