Longshu (Nāgārjuna)
Nāgārjuna's Fundamental Verses on the Middle Way analyzes causation, identity and other categories through the teaching of emptiness. His writings became central to Madhyamaka in India and to Sanlun interpretation in China. Later Chan genealogies place him fourteenth among the Indian patriarchs.
