Linji Yixuan
Linji Yixuan taught at Linji Monastery in Zhenzhou after training under Huangbo Xiyun, according to Chan records. Dialogues and sermons attributed to him were later compiled in the Record of Linji. His name became that of the Linji tradition, one of the five houses of Chan.
